Flood insurance

Homeowners insurance does NOT cover flood damage, and many homes outside known flood plains are damaged by floods. Anybody can buy flood insurance, no matter where you live or what your flood risk, but there is a 30-day waiting period before coverage goes into effect. Don’t wait!

Emergency Evacuation Registry

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management, Colorado Springs Office of Emergency Management, Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging, and Pikes Peak United Way 2-1-1 has teamed up to create the Emergency Evacuation Registry for El Paso County. This confidential database is designed to help first responders identify people who may not be able to evacuate without help. If you have a condition or impairment that limits your ability to safely evacuate in a time of emergency, dial 2-1-1 to get registered or download the application:
